apixxo convinces Medifilm AG

Oensingen, Solothurn (6 October 2009) – "That’s the first time that software is fun!", says Dr. Markus Meier, Managing of Medifilm AG about the new application that apixxo ag implemented for his enterprise.

Medifilm AG is the manufacturer of Medifilm, a packaging solution for long-term medications and individually prescribed dietary supplements. The machine-made, film-like blister packaging contains the tablets and capsules prescribed to the patient by his or her MD in exactly the correct dosages.

apixxo ag was contracted to optimize Medifilm’s order processing as well as its therapy and medication validation processes using a web-based application. Using the featherlite framework, the project team developed a tailor-made solution that precisely met Medifilms’ requirements within just six weeks.

The application captures Medifilms’ customer orders and processes the order data for production. During the course of this process, the application conducts a large number of plausibility checks in order to prevent adverse therapies or medication. For this purpose, the application interacts with the pharmaceutical database hospINDEX by e-mediat. In order to also provide a seamless business process on the business side, all production order data and costs are then transferred via an interface to a business software solution provided by SelectLine.
