Implementation of a PDC and Fault Indicating System

A global logistics provider chose apixxo AG to implement a software solution in a new logistics centre. The solution captures, visualizes and analyzes plant and operating data.

apixxo AG implemented the featherlite framework and the component Management Information System (MIS). The web-based solution continuously captures all relevant plant data of the sorting system in the logistics centre and visualizes it on customer-specific GUIs.   

In order to capture performance data per shift, a configurable shift calendar is maintained in the system. All data is stored to a database and made available for further analysis via the local intranet.   

The PDC and Fault Indicating System aggregates all device data within the plant and makes it available to the shift supervisor. All messages including their status and comments are saved to a database. The data can subsequently be used to for analysis and evaluation as well as to generate detailed performance reports.

The implemented solution is integrated seamlessly with the plant control solutions and enables a deep analysis and precise tracking of relevant performance data ensuring a continuous optimization of plant processes.
