Vertical Integration of Process Control System for MIFA

MIFA AG is a member of the Migros Group and the largest manufacturer of detergents and edible fats in Switzerland. In 2005, the company reported a turnover of 178.1 Million CHF and employed a staff of 298.

MIFA's manufacturing facility in Frenkendorf near Bale uses a process control system supplied by Kaiser Industrie Automation AG. apixxo AG integrated the process control system with the leading ERP-System SAP R/3.  apixxo AG implemented the featherlite framework and the components Legacy Integration and Shop Floor Integration.  

Thanks to the use of preconfigured components and of apixxo’s open technology, all required interfaces were fully implemented and went live within only three working days and have been running since January 2006.
